I used to come here with my family as a kid, and we stopped in for a nostalgic meal on a recent visit. Just as delicious and enjoyable as we remembered...I dream about those dang corn fritters. Even as a vegetarian, I had plenty of yummy options to enjoy alongside my carnivorous friends. Love Sweet Daddy’s!
You Really Have To Look For This Place, But When You Find It, It's Well Worth It. The Sliced Brisket Is Moist And Tender, The Ribs Have A Nice Smokey Flavor To Them, The Regular And Spicy Smoked Sausage Are A Must And To Top It All Off, They Have Smoked Chicken And Sausage Gumbo. Since The Only Barbeque They Have In Slidell Is Chain Owned And Operated, I Might Have To Come Back Here. The Downside Is The Parking. You'll Get Stuck If You Geaux Around 1-2. But Hey, You'll Leave Full And Happy.
This place smells like great bbq when you walk in the door and it delivers! Shared the 3 meat plate of sausage, brisket and ribs with the bbq beans and mac & cheese, all wonderful! Oh, and the brownies are a great treat! Parking is limited so load as many as you can in the family truckster and get so great bbq.
Food was overall good. Brisket has little fat and pulled pork had more than I like but it tasted good. Jambalaya and baked beans sides were good. Not a strong smoke taste but paired good with sauces. They have regular, hot and smoky sauces. Easy quick meal.

Ordered on the phone 15 minutes before closing, very polite, gave me great recommendations and food was ready when I got there. I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese fries. Prices good,10/10 food and 10/10 service. Definitely coming back.
My husband and I had some of Sweet Daddies ribs at the state fair .We are so glad we finally came here for lunch ,it's great ! It's so yummy !
